"Our mandate is to increase awareness of the benefits of vaccinations and to encourage people to get immunized as a means of disease-prevention against infections, such as measles and influenza. Infectious diseases were once the leading cause of death across the globe hundreds of years ago, but with more and more people getting immunized today, there is a decrease in the risk of contracting infectious diseases. However, there has been recent outbreaks of such diseases, such as measles, because some parents are choosing not to vaccinate their children.

We plan to visit various high schools in the Edmonton area to educate students and staff there, as well as plan educational events on campus. Through our events and educational campaigns, we hope people will make informed decisions regarding vaccines and consider getting vaccinated to protect themselves and their loved ones against preventable diseases."
