BA
Brain Awareness Movement
The Brain Awareness Movement (BAM) is a student organized, non-profit group at the University of Alberta. The primary goal of BAM is to inspire and interest students to value their brain, to promote public awareness for brain injuries and to build a better community for people who have suffered from brain injuries. BAM is an organization founded on the principles of education, advocacy and support. The Education Program, in particular, aims to play an active role in educating youth and young adults about the brain and inspire them to be safe and aware of the risks associated with brain injury. In addition, we hope to raise awareness of brain injuries within our community in order to prevent future brain injuries from occurring and encourage involvement within the community of brain injury survivors.
