Mu Theta Chapter of the Zeta Psi Fraternity

"Zeta Psi is an international fraternity starting in 1847 with contacts all over the USA, Canada, and Europe. The Mu Theta chapter of University of Alberta is a close-knit group who strive to foster a supporting environment, one that helps its brothers through hard times. Thanks in part to these efforts, we are currently working to maintain a collective GPA of 3.4.

Beyond our scholarly endeavors, we involve ourselves in a much broader community; examples of this include philanthropic events, social exchanges and inter-fraternity exchanges such as our yearly road trip to the Vancouver and Seattle chapters during reading week.

Zeta Psi can also be used as a tool to help in future endeavours. We have a very active graduated family, one which is very involved in the development of our chapter. Moreover, a place in Zeta Psi opens doors to connections and job opportunities that can greatly assist a university student. As an example, summer jobs are occasionally offered from elder graduates to actives in the chapter, creating chances to gain experience in different fields with fellow brothers. However, beyond helping active brothers, we also honour our past brothers. Every year on Remembrance Day, we remember the fallen soldiers, and our fallen brothers. This includes Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. John Alexander McCrae, a Zete who wrote “In Flander’s Fields”. A place in Zeta Psi means a home in which support and acceptance can be found in each and every brother it entertains."
