AKCSE is a non-profit professional organization that assists Korean and Canadian scientists and engineers develop their full career potential through fostering international cooperation between the two countries. The student chapter at the University of Alberta is one of over fifteen chapters across various universities in Canada, and aims to provide networking opportunities for students with professionals in science and engineering. AKCSE also provides members with various academic and career development opportunities through scholarships, conferences, and internships at a national and an international level. Throughout the year AKCSE provides mentoring opportunities run by students for students, and chances to showcase scientific research at the undergraduate and graduate level.
