UACSSA was founded in 1985, it is one of the largest student group at the University of Alberta. We offer comprehensive student services to help Chinese students and scholars adapt to the new academic and cultural environment; to assist them on academic and working challenges; to promote Chinese culture, and to establish friendships with other Chinese and Canadian organizations. CSSA had over 1,500 members in 2014-2015 with 90% undergraduates and 10% graduates, where many of them are new to Canada. We also have an active group of volunteers which number to about 100 people.
